An ADR plant is the carbon-adsorption recovery train at the heart of most gold heap-leach and CIL/CIP operations. KCA has delivered 74 modular ADR plants and dozens of site-built ADR circuits across six continents — from container-mounted KCA Model 15 pilot units up to the 3,200 m³/h Ivrindi ADR in Turkey, the largest we've built.
Carbon columns or pulse columns load gold from the pregnant leach solution (PLS) onto activated carbon. KCA designs both fixed-bed and pulse-bed configurations depending on solution flow, gold tenor, and operator preference. Typical capacities: 15–3,200 m³/h.
Hot caustic-cyanide-alcohol strip (Zadra) or pressure strip (AARL) options. KCA has shipped Zadra strips at every scale from 1.5-tonne to 5-tonne capacity. Strip cycle times of 18–36 hours depending on configuration.
Electrowinning — KCA stainless-steel or polypropylene electrolytic cells with stainless steel wool cathodes. Largest cell: KCA Model EC-420-SS at 88 gpm / 170 ft³. Cells integrated with KCA smelting furnaces for on-site doré-bar production.
Rotary kiln carbon regeneration to restore loading capacity. KCA has delivered 25 kg/hr and 75 kg/hr regen units. Optional: integration with the KCA Carbon Converter for converting depleted fines into recoverable ash.
KCA offers standardized modular ADR packages (Models 20, 30, 50, 150) for fast deployment to remote sites, or fully custom site-built ADR circuits for high-capacity operations where standardized footprint doesn't apply.
